Overview
My client are a leading provider of high-precision gauges and measurement solutions. We represent some of the world\'s largest manufacturers of precision gauges like Mitutoyo, Tesa, Kroeplin, Mark 10, Chatillon, Renishaw, Mahr, Threadmaster and Bowers. With offices in the UK, Ireland and USA, we also operate large UKAS calibration laboratories, and manufacture precision gauges such as thread plug gauges, ring gauges, plug gauges, taper gauges, etc. They are now seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to drive sales across the UK manufacturing sector. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical understanding and a passion for building customer relationships.
Responsibilities
* Identify and develop new sales opportunities across engineering and manufacturing sectors
* Visit customers, understand technical requirements, and recommend suitable gauge solutions
* Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical presentations
* Maintain and grow existing customer relationships
* Attend trade shows, events, and customer demonstrations
* Collaborate with the technical team to support custom gauge projects
* Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
Requirements
* Experience in technical sales or engineering sales (precision tools or metrology advantageous)
* Understanding of manufacturing processes, CNC machining, or measurement technologies
* Strong communication and customer-facing skills
* Ability to read engineering drawings (training can be provided)
* Self-motivated, organised, and target-driven
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Working hours are 39 per week. Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5pm; Friday 8:30am - 1:30pm.

Experience
* CNC Grinding on a Studer: 2 years (preferred)
