We are recruiting for a qualified and experienced Mental Health Officer (MHO) within Argyll and Bute. The post sits within an integrated Community Mental Health Team and requires the successful candidate to undertake all statutory duties associated with the MHO role in accordance with the relevant legislation. You will also participate in and deliver training as required.
Responsibilities
* Carry out statutory duties as an MHO in accordance with the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Scotland Act 2003, the Criminal Procedures (Scotland) Act 1995, and the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000.
* Participate in Day and SWES Out of Hours MHO Rotas.
* Provide support and care to individuals requiring mental health interventions.
* Work with multidisciplinary team to deliver best practice care.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Qualified social worker.
* Hold MHO award.
* Registration with Social Services Council (SSSC).
* Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) membership for work with children and adults.
* Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 compliance.
* Ability to participate in standby and out of hours service arrangements.
