About the Role
Kemp Recruitment is working on behalf of a leading equipment hire company that is seeking an experienced Service Manager to oversee service operations across a busy and successful depot.
You will be responsible for managing a team of service engineers and support staff, ensuring all equipment is maintained, repaired, and delivered to the highest standard. This role suits an experienced leader from a plant hire, powered access, construction machinery, or related mechanical service background who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day service operations of the depot to ensure efficient and reliable service delivery
* Lead and develop a team of engineers and workshop staff, managing rotas, holidays, and performance
* Ensure all maintenance and repairs are carried out safely, on time, and to specification
* Process engineer reports, warranty claims, and external invoicing
* Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive service and communication
* Drive continuous improvement in productivity, safety, and team performance
