Job Details
We are looking for motivated individuals to work with youth teams in a community setting, engaging effectively with young people and contributing to their learning and development through various educational practices and approaches.
The successful candidate will lead a small team of youth workers to plan, organise, and evaluate activities such as arts and crafts, sports, team challenges, group discussions, project work, Youth Achievement Award projects, and residential learning experiences. The Person
* Significant experience in a youth worker setting
* Experience in developing learning and education programmes with young people
* Ability to motivate young people and encourage participation
* Good organisational skills and the ability to plan programmes around their needs
* Ability to work with other Council services and partner agencies
* Positive role model to young people
* Reliable, good timekeeper, flexible in working hours
* Must have or be able to work towards SVQ2 or SVQ3 Youth Work / PDA Youth Work qualifications
* Must obtain PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland before appointment
