Our client is expanding rapidly within the UK’s clean‑energy sector and is now looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Solar PV & Battery Site Supervisor to support their nationwide installation operations. About the Role
This position involves overseeing residential solar PV and battery installations, ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and consistent quality across all projects. You’ll supervise installation teams, provide technical support, and carry out both on‑site and desktop audits. It’s an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician or solar engineer ready to move into a supervisory role.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead installation teams delivering residential solar PV and battery storage systems
* Carry out on‑site audits to ensure quality, safety, and compliance
* Conduct remote/desktop technical audits
* Verify that all system designs meet MCS standards, G99/G100 compliance, and DNO requirements
* Offer technical guidance to installers, project managers, and customers
* Support installer vetting, training, and wider quality assurance processes
* Troubleshoot technical issues and refine system designs based on installer feedback
* Oversee on‑site health and safety
Requirements
Essential
* Proven experience installing solar PV and battery systems
* Strong understanding of electrical installation practices and BS 7671
* Familiarity with MCS standards for solar PV and battery storage
* Ability to interpret surveys, photos, and roof plans confidently
* Skilled at identifying risks, compliance issues, and design improvements
* Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach
* Strong communication skills and confidence advising installers
* Full UK driving licence for site travel
Desirable
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* Battery commissioning or advanced manufacturer training (e.g., GivEnergy, Tesla, SolarEdge)
* MCS Solar PV qualification or equivalent
* Experience leading teams or managing technical workflows
