Senior Electrical Engineer Production Line (Metals Industry)
Up to £50,000 per annum + Flexible Hours
Full-time | Permanent | Monday to Friday | 37 hours/week
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for a stable, hands-on role in a specialised metals manufacturing environment? This is an exciting opportunity to join a global leader in high-performance metal technologies, supporting a peaceful and focused single production line operation.
About the Role:
This is a critical role within a close-knit engineering team, supporting a well-established metals processing facility. Youll split your time approximately 60/40 between electrical and mechanical responsibilities, working on sophisticated manufacturing equipment and continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment
* Support and implement new systems across the production line
* Conduct preventative maintenance using the maintenance system
* Ensure machinery uptime and production quality standards are met
* Collaborate with senior team members and contribute to long-term engineering projects
* Opportunity to work with advanced systems including CNC machines, grinding machines, and laser technology
Equipment & Environment:
* Single, quiet production line focused, non-chaotic work environment
* Machinery includes:
* Hill Acme grinding machines
* CNC machines
* Photosynthetic laser systems
* Work with lightweight magnesium components (ranging 1mm to 7.6mm in thickness)
* Clean, safety-conscious facility with a collaborative engineering culture
What Were Looking For:
* Background in electrical and mechanical engineering, ideally in a manufacturing setting
* Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
* Experience with production line systems (implementation & support)
* Familiarity with preventative maintenance systems
* Exposure to integrated systems like Connect Systems is a plus
* Comfortable working with older or legacy machinery and systems
* Ideal for a mature, experienced engineer who enjoys structured work and continuous improvement
