Service Care Solutions is currently working with a established local authority, based in Northamptonshire, which is looking to recruit an experienced Planning Lawyer to support their friendly and forward‑thinking legal team. Role: Planning Lawyer – Local Authority (Northamptonshire) Location: Northamptonshire - Fully Remote (with optional Planning Committee attendance) Hours: Up to 30 hours per week Umbrella Rate: £50 - £55 per hour PAYE Inc. Rate: £44.06 - £48.41 per hour Key Responsibilities: Advising on all aspects of town and country planning law from start to completion. Drafting and negotiating planning agreements (including s.106 and s.278). Providing legal advice to planning officers and service managers. (Preferable) Attending Planning Committee meetings, where relevant experience exists — though this is not essential. Key Requirements: A qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive (in England and Wales) with 3 years of PQE in planning law. Ideally someone who has worked for a local authority legal planning team. Ability to manage a varied planning caseload independently. Benefits: Remote working.
