Technical Sales Specialist
Peterborough (PE6)
Up to £32,000 DOE
Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm

Interaction Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a well-established and growing engineering and industrial business based in Peterborough to recruit a Technical Sales Specialist.

The Role
This is a varied and hands-on position where you will manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to quotation, order processing, delivery coordination, and after-sales support.
The role combines both new business generation and account development, making it ideal for someone with a proactive attitude who enjoys customer interaction and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
1. Generating new business opportunities and identifying potential customers
2. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients
3. Handling inbound sales and technical product enquiries
4. Preparing and following up quotations to maximise opportunities
5. Managing the full sales process from enquiry through to delivery
6. Coordinating deliveries with warehouse and operations teams
7. Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing and lead times
8. Processing sales orders accurately and efficiently
9. Maintaining accurate CRM and internal system records
10. Developing strong product and technical knowledge
11. Supporting the wider branch team where required
About You
12. Experience within a mechanical, engineering, industrial, or technical environment
13. Strong communication and relationship-building skills
14. Commercially aware and customer focused
15. Proactive, self-motivated, and results driven
16. Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
17. Organised with strong attention to detail
18. Comfortable managing multiple priorities
19. Keen to build a long-term career within a growing business
20. Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
Previous experience within technical sales, internal sales, engineering support, industrial distribution, or customer service would be highly advantageous.
