Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate Occupational Therapist seeking a new role?
Our NHS client is looking for a locum Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their inpatient NHS service team based in Lincolnshire. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours for an ongoing period.
As a Band 6 Inpatient Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. You will work within the inpatient care unit, providing expert occupational therapy services to patients with various medical conditions. Your primary focus will be on assessing patients’ needs, developing customized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to promote recovery. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in inpatient rehabilitation, be confident with assessments, discharge planning, goal setting, and working towards patient independence within a multidisciplinary team.
Therapist’s applying for this role must have:
* HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
* A relevant degree/qualification within Occupational Therapy
* Knowledge of specialist equipment
* Experience working within a similar NHS setting
* The ability to think creatively
Duties within this role will include:
* Managing a clinical caseload
* Writing accurate and detailed reports on patient progress
* Working as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Conducting assessments and providing hoists and slings
* Devising care plans with family members and/or carers
* Developing rehabilitation programs to rebuild skills and confidence
