Job Title: CNC Machinist (Turner)
Location: Tewkesbury
Hours: 6am – 2pm
Salary: A GBP 38,000 DOE
About the Role
Are you an experienced CNC Machinist who thrives on precision and complexity? We’re looking for a skilled Turner to join a high‑performing team, producing top‑quality components for the Oil and Gas, Aerospace, and Industrial sectors. What You’ll Do
* Set, operate, and programme CNC Turning and multi‑axis machines to exacting specifications.
* Work closely with your team to meet production deadlines and maintain exceptional quality standards.
* Apply your knowledge of fixtures, tooling, speeds and feeds, and programming to maximise efficiency.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN Manufacturing principles.
* Interpret technical drawings and CAD/CAM data to deliver precision components.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience with CNC Turning and multi‑axis machinery in high‑spec, compliant environments.
* Competence in manual measuring tools, with CMM experience advantageous.
* Familiarity with FANUC, Okuma QSP‑200L, ISO or Mazatrol programming is a plus.
* Knowledge of Victor, Hyundai, or Doosan lathes, live tooling, and CAD/CAM (SolidWorks, HyperMill) highly desirable.
* Apprentice‑trained or with recognised Engineering Qualification (City & Guilds / HNC).
