IT Engineer
Location: Belfast
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced IT Engineer to join our Belfast-based team, supporting a variety of clients within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone comfortable working across both break/fix issues and ongoing managed services.
You will be involved in day‑to‑day technical support, system maintenance, and project work, covering a broad range of IT technologies and environments.
Key Responsibilities
As an IT Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing technical support across multiple client environments
* Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
* Supporting managed services and responding to break/fix requests
* Installing, configuring, and maintaining IT equipment and systems
* Assisting with system setups, upgrades, patches, and installs
* Supporting networks, connectivity, and general infrastructure
* Following security best practices and supporting backup solutions
* Maintaining clear documentation, reporting, and ticket updates
* Working to agreed service levels and contributing to service improvements
Skills & Experience
The ideal IT Engineer will have:
* Previous experience working in an MSP or similar fast-paced IT support environment
* A broad understanding of IT systems, hardware, software, and networks
* Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
* Experience supporting end users in a professional setting
* A proactive and flexible approach to work
* Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude
* The ability to manage workload independently and as part of a team
