What you’ll do:
* Lead and manage bids and tender submissions for the Transport business, reporting to the Business Development Director.
* Manage and lead a Bid Team based in Warwick and London, planning resources for bidding opportunities.
* Ensure effective and efficient resource utilization across the business to maximize opportunities.
* Oversee the end-to-end management and production of high-quality, successful bids following telent’s procedures.
* Continuously improve bid quality and adopt best practices.
* Monitor bid costs and seek improvements in bid return on investment.
* Develop relationships with existing and potential customers through meetings and presentations.
* Manage Bid team performance, KPIs, and SLAs.
* Lead bid strategies, material production from Go/No Go to submission, and post-bid support.
* Plan workload, forecast bids, track costs, and report on success metrics.
* Conduct bid reviews and maintain the Bid library.
Who you are:
Key requirements:
* Extensive experience leading a high-performing Bid Team, improving bid success rates.
* Experience in winning bids within Public Sector markets such as Traffic, Rail, and Emergency Services.
* Strong project management, organizational, and financial skills.
* Understanding of Traffic, Rail, Telecommunications, and IT products and services.
* APMP or equivalent qualification with proven bid success.
* Excellent bid writing and review skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and bid response financial skills.
* Leadership experience in building successful bid teams.
* Ability to develop and deliver solutions to complex challenges.
* Strong interpersonal, presentation, and influencing skills.
* Ability to identify customer needs and develop commercial propositions.
* Ownership, accountability, and a positive, proactive attitude.
* Independent working style with strong relationship-building skills.
* High emotional intelligence and pride in quality outputs.
