Finance Director Location: London (Hybrid) Watermark1980 is an award-winning, design-led global business specialising in premium onboard products for the aviation industry. We are now seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Director to work closely with the Board, Managing Director and senior leadership team, playing a pivotal role in shaping the financial health, resilience and long-term growth of the Group. The Role This is a senior leadership role suited to a qualified Finance Director or a highly experienced Financial Controller ready to step up. You will take ownership of the Group’s financial reporting, cash management, forecasting, statutory compliance and financial controls across a multi-entity, multi-currency international structure. Beyond core financial stewardship, you will act as a trusted commercial partner to the Managing Director and leadership team, providing insight, challenge and clarity to support strategic decision-making. You will help the business navigate complexity, manage risk and capitalise on opportunities in a dynamic global supply-chain environment. Key Responsibilities * Ensure the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of group financial reporting across all entities * Produce weekly 12-week cash flow forecasts and sales order reporting * Lead month-end close and prepare consolidated group results * Prepare comprehensive monthly Board packs, including analysis, commentary and recommendations * Oversee statutory accounts, audits, tax compliance and liaison with external advisors across multiple jurisdictions * Manage treasury activities, banking relationships and invoice finance facilities * Monitor cash balances and forecasts to support growth plans and working capital requirements * Lead budgeting, forecasting, re-forecasting and medium-term financial planning * Review and report on KPIs, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities * Lead scenario planning and sensitivity analysis across pricing, FX, tariffs, supplier costs and customer profitability * Support commercial negotiations with suppliers and partners, ensuring financial viability and risk mitigation * Oversee payroll and pensions across UK and overseas entities * Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, transfer pricing and management charges Leadership & Systems * Lead, coach and develop the finance team in London * Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, controls, governance and automation * Play a key role in the ongoing enhancement of Dynamics 365 Business Central * Balance strong financial controls with a pragmatic, commercial mindset appropriate for a growing SME About You * Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience * Proven experience preparing consolidated group accounts * Strong understanding of IFRS, financial controls and performance analysis * Experience managing teams and working collaboratively across functions * Solid understanding of FX exposure, supply-chain dynamics and cash cycles * Highly analytical with excellent written and verbal communication skills * Commercially astute, proactive and confident in challenging constructively * Comfortable working across multiple time zones and cultures * Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and financial systems; systems implementation experience is advantageous What We Offer * Competitive salary * Company bonus scheme * Opportunity to participate in an EMI share option scheme * Hybrid working model and Christmas office closure If you are a commercially driven finance leader looking to make a tangible impact in a creative, global and fast-moving organisation, we would love to hear from you
