As a Cost Insight Analyst, you will play a key role in identifying and unlocking cost savings, along with participating in cross functional projects related to Cost Analysis. You will be an essential line of communication between our Commodities and Cost Modelling team, and our Commercial Buying teams, providing transparency and generating insight. You will have the opportunity to present to various teams, upskilling on our systems and processes, as well as feeding back on our progress. You will have the freedom to explore areas of commodities or buying which interest you, adding to the wide and varied skill set of our team, and the passion with which we carry out our roles. You will aid in leveraging colleagues' and suppliers' capability to buy better, mitigating risk, and maximising opportunity in a volatile economic environment. This role is a varied and fast paced one, which serves as a great introduction to supplier economics and deepening your knowledge of buyer-supplier relations. The results of your work will be apparent from day one, supporting Tesco’s goal of serving our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day. Our team operate two to three days from our office in Welwyn Garden City, and the remainder from home. Data Management – data gathering, validation and visualisation End to end cost analytics and modelling to inform best commercial practices and negotiation strategy Engaging with internal buying teams across divisions, developing capability in process management Reporting preparation on project status and progress for your manager Participating in cross-functional projects to drive efficiency across the business, and accuracy in our financial forecasting Collaborating with our Technology teams to constantly improve our processes and insight delivery Supporting your manager in presenting insights and opportunities to Senior Stakeholders on a regular basis Adhering to all Tesco policies, storage and handover protocols and successfully completing all of your training so that you have zero GSCOP breaches Ensuring all agreements are recorded in writing, reporting GSCOP complaints to Legal within 48 hours of receipt, and leading a culture of compliance within your team Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence Strong excel and analytical skills Logical and creative problem solving, passion for innovation in a growing area Good communication, networking and influencing skills Ability to present competently to internal and external stakeholders Exposure to a commodity market and / or procurement would be an advantage Experience using Microsoft Office applications A passion and curiosity for fast moving food retail or experience of working in an FMCG organisation LI-DS1 LI-Hybrid
