The role…

As a People & Culture Specialist, you will be at the heart of ensuring a seamless employee experience across the full employment life-cycle with a specific focus on Recruitment. The role also ensures Best in Show HR compliance, people processes, employee experience and people operations, ensuring a productive and positive workplace experience. As a People & Culture Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our People strategy, partnering with managers and teams to attract & build capability, foster engagement, and champion initiatives that make Pure an amazing place to work. On top of being a part of our B-Corp Journey.

Duties and responsibilities of the role are:

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding (60%)

* Optimise & consistently deliver Pure Pet Foods recruitment, selection and onboarding processes to ensure hiring managers at Pure attract & retain Best in Show Talent.
* Collaborate with the HR Manager, IT (external) our Finance team, and regional managers to establish compliant and competitive recruitment, selection & onboarding processes in the UK & in Holland.
* Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, role requirements, ensure B-Corp alignment and Shorten source to hire timelines.
* Proactively source candidates via job boards, LinkedIn and direct outreach to build a recruitment pool.
* Support hiring managers with interview preparation, DEI obligations; gender representation during the selection process, competency assessments and other hiring manager lead decision-making tools.
* Manage candidate communications, offers and pre-employment reference checks.
* Manage offers, contracts, GDPR compliance & right to work checks during recruitment and ensure record management of compliance documentation during onboarding.
* Ensure a positive candidate experience at all stages.
* Maintain accurate recruitment data and provide insights into time-to-hire, pipeline health and hiring trends.
* Support employer branding initiatives and recruitment process improvements.
* Support line managers to deliver & document the internal probation policy.
* Drive process excellence, automation, and systems integration across onboarding and offboarding.
* Support the team to complete personal development plans that feed into the organisations Learning Needs Analysis process.

HR Advisory, Champion of Engagement & Generalist employee relations Support – DEI Lead (30%)

* Provide first-line HR advice & coaching sessions to managers and employees on policies and procedures with specific focus on DEI practices.
* Communicate with & support managers to ensure they complete the probation, promotion and leaver processes.
* Assist with low-level employee relations matters under guidance.
* Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
* Support HR projects and initiatives as required.
* Support the completion of Health & Safety training (office-based roles).
* Drive engagement across Pure Pet Food through the development of a best in show employee experience.
* Participate as a member of the Pure Pet Food Engagement Forum and support the organisation of social events & activities.
* Support line managers to complete the Pure Pet Food disciplinary, performance management

and grievance processes.

Office Facilities Support (10%)

· Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Radius office, ensuring it is safe, clean and well-maintained.

· Support H & S / Fire safety & Employment Law compliance focused activities at our Radius site & Brand Ambassador hubs.

It's essential that you have:

* 2-3 years of experience in people operations / culture / HR advisor role with a recruitment bias in the UK.
* Solid knowledge of UK employment law HR compliance and preferably payroll (although payroll isn't essential).
* A CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience as a minimum.
* Experience with HR platforms. Experience managing the full colleague journey from pre-employment through to retention, including induction and "settling-in" checks.
* Proven experience supporting hiring managers to recruit, select & onboard applicants.
* Strong organisational and project management skills, with attention to detail.
* Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and negotiation abilities.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with international exposure (Holland).
* Experience communicating across both a hybrid working environment and manufacturing sites.
* This position requires a hands-on, people-first approach and the ability to work closely with stakeholders across the organisation.
* A full UK Driving Licence with business insurance (or a willingness to purchase business insurance).
* Experience within blue collar & white-collar organisations.

Desirable:

· Proven track record of improving early employee retention rates.

· Experience with succession planning and identifying career progression pathways.

· Experience in a fast-growing or SME environment.

· Experience of adhering to B-Corp processes & practices
