Graduate Town Planner based in Leeds, joining the 2026 Graduate Programme. This role offers the opportunity to develop town planning expertise within an interdisciplinary environment and contribute to a broad range of projects across residential, commercial and environmental sectors.
Your Role
We are looking for a Graduate Town Planner to be based in Leeds.
As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your town planning expertise within an exciting and creative interdisciplinary environment. You will contribute to a broad range of projects, from initial research and site appraisals to application preparation, community engagement, plan promotion, and planning appeals in the residential, commercial and environmental sectors. You will also assist with project coordination and management, ensuring projects run smoothly.
The Town Planning team principally focuses on residential-led developments across Leeds and wider Yorkshire, including new town settlements, garden villages and regeneration projects as well as mixed-use, industrial/commercial and renewable schemes. Developments range in size, use and complexity and include the preparation and submission of all types of planning applications, as well as Local Plan promotions. Examples of projects include Maltkiln new settlement, Waverley new community, The Tetley redevelopment, and Leeds and Harrogate Spring Water.
