We are looking for a motivated and detail conscious HR & Payroll Assistants to join our friendly team. You would be providing a key role in the delivery of Payroll and HR service for staff employed within schools and external customers. Previous experience or knowledge of the education sector along with previous experience of working in a busy administration role would be an advantage but not essential. We provide transactional support to employers and employees throughout the employee lifecycle, some of the key tasks you would be undertaking in the role include: advertising roles as part of the recruitment process inputting HR, payroll, travel/expenses, and pensions data into the HR/Payroll system ensuring accurate and timely salary payments for starters, leavers, and contractual changes producing contracts of employment and ensuring compliance with DBS and other pre-employment clearances A strong customer service ethos is required, where providing information and advice to schools and customers is key. This would be an opportunity to progress a career in Payroll and HR. An understanding of Payroll support service delivery in a large or complex organisation would be advantageous, the ideal candidate will demonstrate experience of the use of ICT systems for the delivery of a payroll service. It is desirable for you to be able to demonstrate an aptitude to calculate pay from gross to net, and will be required to identify, calculate and process other payroll related issues as they occur. Although full training and ongoing support will be given. This role is based at County Hall in Dorchester, but you may be required/able to work remotely (e.g. from home).
