Summary
We’re seeking a Facilities Manager to join the North Warwickshire portfolio, which includes Baddesley Clinton, Charlecote Park and Packwood House. This is an exciting position where you can be directly involved in looking after special places, the main historic houses, work bases for property teams including out buildings, commercial areas and modern visitor reception buildings alongside car parks. We are looking for a well-organised individual to ensure our properties and facilities are aligned with relevant Health & Safety, Environmental, Fire & Security standards.
What it's like to work here
With many different buildings in our care alongside busy visitor facilities, no two days are the same, with our work influenced by the seasons. Some days you’ll be planning maintenance or reacting to issues whilst also leading on compliance, flooding mitigation and the services essential to keep the operation going and working safely.The Facilities Team includes the Facilities Manager, supported by 3 Facilities Co-ordinators and 3 Facilities Assistants, and a volunteer cohort which form part of a larger friendly team all working towards the conservation of these terrific properties, helping to grow support to make our places For Everyone, For Ever. You’ll be based across the Portfolio as this role requires you to be on property, primarily working weekdays. You will be required to support Site Leads, cover FM rota gaps, work peak holiday seasons which will include, weekends and bank holidays. It is an incredibly varied portfolio with different challenges every day. All 3 properties are open all year round, 7 days a week. This role is also involved in supporting the wider operations of the prosperities as the visitor experience is at the heart of what we do.
What you'll be doing
Reporting to the General Manager, as Facilities Manager you’ll be leading the facilities team and working closely with Portfolio and Regional colleagues working together to improve our offer, using resources efficiently and contribute to making visits really special as well as conservation work. Your operation will be an active one, monitoring compliance, orchestrating planned preventative and reactive works and delivering projects. You’ll be learning from others and supporting their work, coaching good practice.You’ll arrange contractors, track compliance and plan your delivery. You’ll be accountable for the running of all aspects of facilities management, making sure we are safe and compliant.
Who we're looking for
To deliver this role successfully, you'll need: •An understanding of facilities management and building maintenance requirements.•Proven experience of broad compliance and risk management, including knowledge of Health & Safety, CDM regulations, Emergency procedures and Fire & Security procedures. Ideally trained to IOSH Managing Safely standard.•Strong leadership, communication, people and customer service skills.•Experience of managing budgets, finances, projects and contracts/contractors.•Strong IT skills.
