Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership on a new-build substation project in Peterhead. The role will ensure high standards of quality compliance, accurate setting‑out, and effective coordination of both temporary and permanent works on site.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead engineering teams, overseeing setting‑out, site surveys, and quality checks.
* Produce, review, and maintain ITPs, method statements, and QA records.
* Coordinate with designers, temporary works engineers, and construction teams.
* Manage engineering deliverables to ensure works meet programme requirements.
* Provide technical input into NEC early warnings, design changes, and risk mitigation.
* Support site management with technical and constructability advice specific to substation civil works.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on civil engineering projects.
* Strong understanding of QA processes and temporary works coordination.
* Competent with AutoCAD, GPS / setting‑out equipment, and 3D models.
* Experience with substation or utility civil works highly desirable.
* Strong communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach.
