Commercial Gas Engineer – North West, Leeds and a couple of occasional sites in Newcastle
Salary: £42,000 - £45,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Call Out: 1 in 4 rota
Location: Ideally based in Leeds, but open to candidates across Leeds or the North West

The Role:
As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance, servicing, and breakdown support on commercial gas systems across a small portfolio of approximately 10 client sites. These include office buildings, healthcare facilities, retail units, and light industrial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carrying out PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive work on commercial heating systems and appliances.
* Diagnosing faults and undertaking effective repairs on boilers, pipework, and heating plant.
* Ensuring all work complies with current gas safety legislation and industry best practices.
* Completing service records, gas safety certificates, and job reports accurately and promptly.
* Taking part in a 1-in-4 call-out rota to cover emergency breakdowns.
* Maintaining excellent communication with clients and internal teams.
* Assisting and mentoring junior engineers when required.
What We’re Looking For:
* Fully qualified with valid ACS Commercial Gas certifications (e.g. COCN1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A etc.).
* Demonstrable experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer within commercial premises.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
* A customer-focused and proactive attitude.
