We’re now recruiting a Patient Administrator to join our vibrant and friendly Bristol-based team.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be at the heart of our patient admin team—ensuring patients feel supported, consultants are well-organised, and our internal systems remain accurate and efficient.
Key responsibilities include:
* Acting as a first point of contact for patients by phone and email, handling queries with warmth and professionalism.
* Booking, confirming, and managing appointments in line with consultant availability.
* Regularly updating clinic lists to ensure consultant schedules match hospital records.
* Ensuring accurate and up-to-date billing information is collected and logged for all patients.
* Monitoring and managing shared inboxes and general administrative correspondence.
* Supporting medical secretaries by:
o Checking and clearing printing queues daily.
o Ensuring copy prescriptions are sent to the correct pharmacy.
o Making sure all printed documents are correctly sorted and delivered to the right location.
* * Liaising with consultants, secretaries, and external teams to ensure all information is coordinated smoothly.
* Maintaining confidentiality and data protection standards in all tasks.
Requirements
* Maths and English GCSEs (Grades A–C / 4–9) or Functional Skills Level 2.
* Confident IT user with knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems.
* Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
* Friendly, clear communication style—both written and verbal.
* Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
* Previous experience in a private healthcare or admin support role is desirable but not essential.
