Wickman Hotels Group is seeking an experienced and passionate Gardener to maintain and develop the grounds across our portfolio, including Flodigarry Hotel, Cuillin Hills Hotel, and the forthcoming Budhmor Apartments. This is a hands-on role requiring strong horticultural knowledge and a genuine interest in creating and maintaining beautiful, productive, and guest-focused outdoor spaces. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the landscape experience across our properties. Key Responsibilities Maintain all hotel grounds to a consistently high standard, including lawns, borders, pathways, and outdoor spaces Manage and develop a kitchen garden, producing herbs, vegetables, and edible plants for use in the hotels Oversee and maintain a plant nursery, including propagation and seasonal planting Plan and execute planting schemes using shrubs, flowers, and seasonal plants Ensure the health and full lifecycle care of all plants, including planting, pruning, feeding, and pest management Work closely with the Estates Manager to plan seasonal maintenance and improvements Support the overall aesthetic and brand standards of each property’s landscape Monitor and maintain tools, equipment, and gardening supplies Adapt grounds and planting to reflect seasonal changes and guest experience Skills & Experience Required Proven experience in horticulture, gardening, or estate groundskeeping Strong knowledge of shrubs, flowers, plants, vegetables, and herbs, including their full lifecycle Experience with kitchen gardens and/or small-scale food production is highly desirable Understanding of plant health, soil management, and seasonal planning Ability to work independently and manage time effectively A proactive, detail-oriented approach with pride in high standards Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions What We Offer Competitive hourly rate Share of tips Company benefits Accommodation available Opportunity to shape and develop unique landscapes across multiple properties on the stunning isle of Skye
