Title: Associate Solicitor / Partner 10 PQE +

A prestigious Legal 500–ranked firm with a strong market presence is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to come in at associate or Partner level. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a well-established firm renowned for its outstanding client service and its sophisticated portfolio of high net worth (HNW) and ultra high net worth (UHNW) clients in the UK and on an international scale. The role offers the chance to advise on complex private client matters, including estate planning, trusts, succession, and tax-efficient wealth management, within a collaborative and supportive environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Advise HNW and UHNW clients on IHT planning, Wills, LPAs, Estate Administration, Care Home Fee planning, trusts, and multi-jurisdictional matters.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering clear, practical, and high-quality legal advice.
* Generate new business and support the team’s growth through networking, strategic initiatives, and business development activities.
* Lead and mentor junior lawyers, delegating work effectively to develop team capability.
* Contribute to the success of the Private Client team, achieving individual targets for fees, chargeable hours, and client work.
* Plan, prioritise, and manage your workload efficiently, resolving complex matters with initiative and sound judgment.
* Attend occasional client meetings, networking events, or travel as required to support business and client needs.
* Continuously develop professional expertise, technical skills, and contribute to team innovation and improvement.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with at least 10 years’ post-qualification experience in Private Client law.
* STEP qualification or working towards STEP is desirable.
* Significant experience advising HNW and UHNW clients across a broad range of Private Client matters, including Wills, LPAs, Estate Administration, IHT planning, trusts, and multi-jurisdictional issues.
* Strong technical knowledge and expertise in complex Private Client matters.
* Proven track record in supporting and driving business development, generating new client opportunities, and contributing to strategic growth.
* Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing junior lawyers and support staff.
* Excellent client relationship, communication, and commercial skills, with a history of delivering high-quality service.
