Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer – Aircraft Control Systems
Location: South East England (Hybrid working available)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with expertise in aircraft or propulsion system development to deliver structured systems engineering across all development phases. You will contribute to systems definition, requirements capture, and cross-functional collaboration in line with ARP4754A/B and ARP4761/A standards.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver structured systems engineering documentation across aircraft, system, and item levels
* Collaborate closely with certification, safety, and test teams to support lean system development
* Enhance process documentation in line with maturing system designs
* Provide mentoring on systems lifecycle and best practices in requirements management
Qualifications
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
* Strong understanding of the V-lifecycle, especially early development phases; experience with low maturity inputs preferred
* Proficient in aircraft control systems (preferably engine controls) and authoring of controller specifications
* Experience with certified or in-development aircraft or powerplant systems
* Skilled in capturing, validating, and managing requirements across system levels
* Competent in system architecture and interface development with strong stakeholder collaboration
* Familiarity with Polarion, DOORS, Matlab Simulink, or similar tools
* Background in electric propulsion, fuel cell systems, or EVTOLs is a plus
