Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and maintaining efficient pharmacy operations. Responsibilities
* Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
* Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
* Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety standards
* Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage
* Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and inventory levels
* Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety regulations
* Support administrative tasks such as stock management, ordering supplies, and maintaining documentation
* Assist with care home and MDS dispensing
Skills
* Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role is highly desirable
* Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems (Pharmacy Manager PMR System)
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to prevent errors
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to patient confidentiality and professional ethics
* NVQ2 (or equivalent) qualification in Pharmacy Services is required
