Restorative Practice - Mental Health - Education and Training

This is a Learning Support role, an ideal graduate opportunity for those aspiring to work in Criminal Justice, Probation, Rehabilitation, Trauma Support, and Psychology. The role is based in a challenging school setting for young children with trauma and mental health needs.

The school specializes in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Wellness concerns. You will play a vital role in helping to improve attainment for students with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and associated learning difficulties.

For the right candidate with genuine motivation to work with vulnerable young people and at-risk youth, this role is ideal. Career progression can lead to roles such as probation officer, youth offending team member, or youth counselor.

This Graduate Learning Support Assistant role will provide experience in challenging situations, helping you build your foundation in the field. Empathy and pragmatism are essential in this specialist school, where the focus is on the holistic and therapeutic aspects of education.

While behavior management is part of the role, it is crucial that you possess the academic skills to raise attainment across various subjects. The school offers vocational subjects like computing, hairdressing, PE, and performing arts, alongside core subjects such as Math and English.

This role may not be suitable for everyone. We welcome discussions to explore your experience and determine if this position aligns with your current career stage.
