Location: South Africa (Remote)

Salary: R600,000 - R700,000 + uncapped commission plan



We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Senior Account Executive to join our Managed Services division, including Vulnerability Management as a Service (VMaaS) & Managed SOC, to drive new business growth.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our Managed Services Division with a clear focus on enterprise sales. This is a senior, hunter-led role designed for an experienced seller who is comfortable navigating large, complex organisations and selling into senior security and technology leadership.

You will be responsible for driving net-new enterprise business, leveraging an established network of C-level and senior cyber decision-makers, and closing high-value, multi-stakeholder Managed Services deals. You will act as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers navigating vulnerability management, cyber exposure, and strategic risk reduction.



Key Responsibilities

● Own new logo acquisition for enterprise Managed Services customers, with a strong emphasis on outbound prospecting and self-generated pipeline.

● Operate as a true hunter, leveraging your existing enterprise cyber network alongside targeted outbound, strategic account mapping, and executive-level outreach.

● Build, develop, and maintain long-term relationships with enterprise stakeholders, including CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Security, Risk, and Compliance.

● Manage and close complex, long-cycle enterprise sales engagements involving multiple stakeholders, procurement teams, and security leadership.

● Lead value-based, consultative sales conversations focused on enterprise vulnerability management, exposure reduction, and measurable risk outcomes.

● Own deal strategy, pricing discussions, and commercial negotiations for high-value enterprise opportunities.

● Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline discipline for large enterprise deals, reporting clearly to senior leadership.

● Collaborate closely with pre-sales, technical specialists, and delivery teams to tailor Managed Services solutions to enterprise requirements.

● Represent Cognisys at enterprise-focused industry events, executive briefings, and cybersecurity forums.



Requirements

● 5+ years proven experience selling enterprise SaaS or cybersecurity services as a quota-carrying Account Executive.

● Demonstrated success in closing complex, high-value enterprise deals with long sales cycles.

● Strong hunter mentality with a consistent track record of building an enterprise sales pipeline from scratch.

● Established enterprise-focused network of senior cybersecurity, IT, and risk decision-makers.

● Deep understanding of the cybersecurity market, ideally including Managed Services such as Managed SOC, vulnerability management, or related enterprise solutions.

● Experience engaging C-suite and senior leadership (CISO, CIO, CTO) in consultative, value-based sales discussions.

● Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and experience navigating enterprise procurement processes.

● Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot to manage complex pipelines.

● Excellent communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills.

● Self-directed, resilient, and comfortable operating in a senior, autonomous enterprise sales role
