White Rose CIC is a registered UK charity retailer founded in 2009 by Nottingham Trent university students to support the work of Aegis Trust. Aegis is a UK NGO that aims to prevent and resolve conflict and mass atrocities through peace education programmes in communities worldwide.
At White Rose we welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, as we actively support Aegis in their mission to prevent discrimination that leads to mass atrocities.
White Rose support Aegis by selling handpicked, high quality, pre-loved fashion items and accessories. 100% of the profits generated by White Rose goes to support the work of the Aegis Trust.
How you can help
Volunteering in our White Rose shops is a diverse, exciting and fulfilling experience. We provide the opportunity for you to utilise and develop your skills, so no two shifts are the same.
You don't need any previous experience to volunteer, all we ask is that you are motivated, hardworking and keen to learn new skills or share your experience and talents to support an amazing cause
We offer a full induction as well as ongoing training opportunities to make sure you feel confident and able to excel in your volunteer role with White Rose.
Typical tasks of store volunteer:
* Welcome and serve customers
* Sort in store donations and put out the new stock deliveries
* Prepare stock for sale through steaming, tagging and pricing
* Serve at the till, at the point of sale
* Offer excellent customer service, engaging with every customer
* Raise awareness of the work of the Aegis Trust
* Create eye-catching window and in store displays through visual merchandising
* Keep the shop tidy, clean and a great experience for our customers
Where volunteering will take place:
Our store is based in Newark.
When can I volunteer?
Any days – Tuesday to Saturday
Any time between 10am – 5pm
How long is a typical session?
We require a minimum of 4 hours a week.
How many shifts can I do?
As many as you like Some of our team do one a week, some do 5 a week
