This role is ideal for someone who can supervise the site cleaning teams to ensure a high standard of cleanliness internally and externally. First point of contact on the management of Waste, Pest control and landscaping services.
Role - Facilities Supervisor
Location - Hybrid, Van with a fuel card will be provided to visit multiple sites in Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight (IOW)
Rate of Pay - £12.26 per hour + Paid Holidays
Job Type - Full Time, Temp to Perm
Hours - 40 hours per week - Mon-Fri 08:00 to 17.00 shift

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage cleaning teams to deliver high-quality services aligned with KPIs, overseeing operations across 15-25 buildings.
2. Manage direct reports on larger sites and operational teams on smaller sites, ensuring prompt resolution of client issues and suitable cover for unplanned absences.
3. Monitor in-house systems to approve and record overtime, absence, and leave in compliance with company policies, while upholding SHEQ regulations and standards.
4. Procure cleaning materials and consumables as required, maintaining cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of equipment and storage areas.
5. Oversee all aspects of people management, including recruitment, onboarding, time and attendance, employee information changes, and performance management.
6. Stay updated on personal and team training requirements, participating in toolbox talks to uphold soft services standards.
7. Conduct periodic visits and inspections of all sites within the assigned area of responsibility, performing administrative duties as necessary.
8. Flexibility required for early starts, evening shifts, and occasional weekends to meet operational needs.
Essential Requirements:
9. Basic DBS Check
10. UK valid Driver's Licence
11. Essential experience in industry/public cleaning services, with a strong understanding of the sector.
12. Prior experience supervising cleaning teams across multiple locations is essential.
13. Desirable knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
14. Understanding of basic health and safety principles.
15. Ability to motivate cleaning teams to achieve consistent specified cleaning standards.
16. Strong communication and customer care skills.
17. Proactive team player with excellent problem-solving abilities.
18. Capacity to plan and prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
19. Basic knowledge of IT and Microsoft Office systems.
