Registration Officer - Births & Deaths (Burnley)
Salary: £25,989 - £28,142 per annum pro rata; 520 hours annualised; part‑time; Registration Service – Burnley Registration Office.

Join our team as a Registration Officer at Lancashire County Council! If you are passionate about providing excellent customer service and ensuring vital records are accurate, we invite you to join our Registration Service team.
Our service creates accurate and timely records of all births, still births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships, and facilitates notice for marriages and civil partnerships.
Your new role: We are looking for someone who is customer‑focused, confident using digital resources and committed to effective teamwork. You will have excellent people skills and the ability to work accurately, following procedures without close supervision.
What you'll be doing
* Undertake duties attached to the registration of births, deaths and still births.
* Attest routine notices of marriage and civil partnership.
* Support the delivery of a high‑quality Registration Service.
* Work as a member of the Registration team.
Annualised Hours
These are annualised contracts: you will work your hours over the year (e.g., 416 or 520 hours). Work patterns are agreed in advance but may vary with demand. Availability to be provided two months in advance to support scheduling.
