Commercial Gas & Plumbing Engineer duties
* Carrying out reactive maintenance and fault finding
* Completing plumbing and gas repairs across commercial sites
* Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Installing pipework, TMVs, water heaters, and plumbing systems
* Commissioning and testing commercial heating and hot water systems
* Completing servicing, inspections, and compliance checks
* Attending breakdowns and emergency call-outs
* Supporting mechanical refurbishment projects
* Updating records using mobile and tablet systems
* Working safely within school and public sector environments
* Supporting wider compliance and remedial works alongside mechanical and electrical teams
Commercial Gas & Plumbing Engineer requirements
* NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering
* Commercial and Domestic Gas qualifications including:
o CCN1
o CENWAT
o CODNCCO1
o CDGA1
o CIGA1
o Unvented Hot Water qualification (G3)
* Minimum two years' experience within a similar role
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Experience carrying out fault finding and remedial works
* Good communication and client-facing skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* IT competent using handheld or tablet systems
Desirable experience
* Experience working within schools or public buildings
* Electrical safety awareness
* IPAF or PASMA
* OFTEC
* Experience working on oil-fired systems
* Air source or AC knowledge
Working hours and overtime
* Full-time role working 40 hours per week
* Expected on site from 8:00am daily
* Earlier starts may be required depending on client requirements
* Time and a half after 6:00pm Monday to Friday
* Time and a half on Saturdays until 12:00pm
* Double time after 12:00pm on Saturdays and all day Sunday
* Weekend and out-of-hours call-outs paid door-to-door
