Clearly Education is currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant in Haslemere and the surrounding areas. This role is ideal for those who enjoy helping children reach their potential and are keen to work with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) .
About the Role
As an LSA, you’ll support children within the classroom, ensuring every learner feels included and encouraged. You’ll work closely with teachers to adapt lessons, provide extra help where needed, and promote a positive and engaging learning experience for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities – Learning Support Assistant Haslemere
* Offer one-to-one or small group support to pupils, including those with SEN
* Assist teachers in lesson delivery and classroom organisation
* Promote inclusion and encourage participation in all learning activities
* Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic progress
* Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals
* Uphold safeguarding policies, including Prevent and FGM awareness
* Be open to working in different schools in and around Haslemere
Requirements of this LSA role:
* Experience supporting children or young people (essential)
* A caring, patient, and proactive attitude
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures (training provided if needed)
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Level 2 or 3 qualification in Education, Childcare, or Support Work is desirable
* Paediatric First Aid certification preferred
