What you will be doing
1. Work with Management onernance and the facilitation of the execution of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA, Risk & Control Self-Assessment) as required by the MCA Standard including the assessment and appropriate approval of risk associated with business changes
2. Accountable for the quality,pleteness, and accuracy of the implementation of the Control Framework, including Risk Control Policy, Control Standard, Issue Management Policy, Lesson Learned Policy and Control Inventory
3. Ensure the identification of issue root cause, partnering with control and process owners to rmend holistic corrective actions and improvements, provide check and challenge to ensure appropriate escalation in according with Issue Management and Escalation Policies
4. Direct teams in the implementation of the Lessons Learned Policy, including monitoring of control breaches and dissemination and learnings across other business units for process improvement to limit the occurrence of similar future events and where similar risk exposure might exist
5. Support management in the review and challenge process, within the FLUs, on the effective design and management of controls to mitigate risks as required by the Control Standards, including implementation and operation, conducting the control monitoring, handling deficiencies, and escalating issues for resolution
6. Help management allocate resource to identify, assess, escalate, and manage risk exposures across Risk Categories (Operationalpliance, Strategic, Reputational, etc), including material, emerging and concentration risks in accordance with enterprise Policies and the establishment of Key Indicators to monitor risk exposures
7. Assist management with engagement across stakeholders to support controls initiatives progress reporting and escalate topics appropriately to Senior Management
8. Help management with providing effective challenge to internal stakeholders on updates provided to ensure effective, appropriate, and accuratemunications.
9. Support management with coordinating across cross functional teams to address audit and regulatory queries
10. Take ownership to identify, assess, record and response to Operational andpliance Risk events, ensuring these are captured accurately, timely and in accordance with requirements.
What we need from you
11. Experience in Operational Risk Management, Audit,pliance or other control function.
12. Familiarity with 3rd party risk models
13. Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbalmunication skills
14. SQL, Perl or Python, Matlab or R, Excel VBA, and database administrator experience is a plus
15. Self-motivated and detail oriented
16. Excellent problem-solving skills Ability toprehend the big pictures with high attention to critical details
17. Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
