The successful candidate will prepare and maintain the sterile surgical environment, assist the surgical team during operations, and ensure patient safety and high standards of care.#### #### Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare operating theatre for ENT procedures, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and functioningAssist the ENT surgeon during surgical procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other sterile materialsMaintain strict aseptic techniques and sterile fields throughout surgeriesAnticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during operationsCount and track surgical instruments, swabs, and needles before, during, and after proceduresPrepare and handle surgical specimens for laboratory analysisEnsure proper sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipmentMonitor patients’ condition during surgery and report any concerns to the surgical teamAssist in post-operative patient care and preparation of the operating theatre for the next procedureMaintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures, instrument usage, and patient recordsParticipate in continuing education and training on new surgical techniques and ENT procedures#### Qualifications and RequirementsYou will have 12 months minimum NHS (UK) hospital experienceDiploma or degree in Nursing (Registered Nurse / RN)Current license to practice as a nursePrevious experience as a Scrub or Operating Room nurse, preferably in ENT or surgical specialtiesStrong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and operating room protocolsExcellent attention to detail, organization, and teamwork skillsAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced surgical environmentGood communication skills to effectively coordinate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other staff#### Work EnvironmentHospital or specialized ENT surgical unitInvolves operating theatre work, exposure to surgical instruments, and occasional emergency procedures#### #### Area of WorkGlasgow
