Heavens Kitchen is an independent Mediterranean Steak House, located in the centre of the historic market town of Alton, Hampshire.We pride ourselves on delivering the exceptional, freshly prepared food using seasonal and local ingredients.We require chefs, who are passionate their food, their job and driven to learn adapt and become part of the Heavens Kitchen family.You will be able to develop your skills in our kitchens, have input in our menu, work with other talented chefs and become part of the future of Heaven’s Kitchen.Your responsibilities will include:Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scalesStudy each recipe and gather all necessary ingredientsCook food in a timely mannerFood preparation and presentation in accordance with restaurant standards and qualityDelegate tasks to kitchen staffMenu creation/options based on seasonal changes and customer demandsInform wait staff about daily specialsEnsure appealing plate presentationSupervise Cooks and assist as neededSlightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)Monitor food stock and place ordersCheck freshness of food and discard out-of-date itemsExperiment with recipes and suggest new ingredientsMaintains quality and hygiene standards and implements safety regulations.Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen areaYou must have or working towards food hygiene level 2
