About The Role
We have a brand‑new opportunity for a Principal or Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team in either our Bournemouth or Reading office.
Bournemouth has a 45‑year‑old office specialising in building services expertise and long‑term local relationships. Reading is a thriving town experiencing exponential growth across many sectors, with major projects such as Station Hill.
We are eager to speak with candidates who have experience in commercial, residential and mission‑critical projects. This role involves supporting and delivering electrical designs for a range of project types and sizes within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high‑quality service, business development and profitability.
In this key and varied role you can expect to:
* Day‑to‑day technical delivery of the electrical design services for multidisciplinary projects across multiple building sectors.
* Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects, ensuring solutions meet the brief and regulatory standards.
* Interact regularly with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a client‑facing manager at project meetings and translating the brief within the team.
* Work with the team leader to monitor fee expenditure, resources and work delivered.
* Mentor and support our next‑generation professionals, including apprentices and graduates.
About You
To be successful in this role you’ll need:
* Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer or closely related role, with a track record delivering complex projects.
* Experience of modern technical delivery processes and use of relevant software/tools such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux and Relux.
* Demonstrable experience working with clients, contractors and architects in a design‑oriented/consultant role.
* Self‑awareness, an open mind and a spirit of generosity.
* Experience in supporting others to develop knowledge, skills and confidence.
