We are seeking to appoint a Programme Director to develop and deliver the Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship in Digital & Technology Solutions Professional, aligning with the strategic development of our Apprenticeship programme portfolio at Henley Business School. We seek highly motivated and experienced individuals who value high-quality teaching and apprenticeship programmes. All staff are expected to be collegiate, lead by example, and actively contribute to new initiatives at Henley Business School.
Your primary responsibility as Programme Director is to ensure the design and delivery of high-quality learning opportunities, providing strategic oversight and ensuring alignment with the Apprenticeship Standard and Ofsted Inspection Framework. You will coordinate with Module Convenors, Learning Coaches, and Apprenticeship Tutors to facilitate a cohesive programme. Additionally, you will contribute to teaching and scholarly activities, as agreed with the Head of Department.
Teaching responsibilities include developing, convening, and teaching modules, supervising projects, and providing academic tutoring, along with assessment and feedback.
Scholarly activities involve research and policy analysis to keep teaching current and relevant, potentially leading to publications such as white papers, discussion papers, case studies, and journal articles.
Requirements:
* A university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, or a related field
* Teaching experience in higher education
* Excellent knowledge of the discipline, e.g., computer science, software engineering, information systems, data analytics, and related curricula
* Leadership experience in teaching and learning, including developing teaching materials
* Initiative and responsibility in professional activities
The position is teaching-intensive and initially fixed for three years.
