Wood Transmission and Distribution are recruiting for a Social Value Officer (SVO) based in Scotland, supporting several major electricity transmission schemes. The SVO will create and deliver a social value plan for the project, to benefit people in the region, creating a lasting impact.
The role requires regular visits to projects, groups and communities in the region to engage with locals and support the project teams. The SVO officer will work alongside our project teams and collaborative groups to align with our company & client goals and local community needs. The ideal candidate will lead with a community-focused approach, build trust, address concerns, and serve as an expert to deliver lasting results for the region.

Qualifications
8. IEMA Sustainability qualifications or equivalent (desirable)
9. SV or SROI qualifications or equivalent (desirable)
10. Membership to a recognised body such as Sustainability School, ISEP or Social Value UK or similar (desirable)
11. Level 2 Maths and English
12. Full UK Driving License.

13. Demonstrable experience in community engagement, sustainability, public relations, or related field
14. Knowledge of North Scotland community needs and best practices for delivering benefits.
15. Strong planning and organizational skills to deliver a social value plan.
16. Organizational skills to manage community plans, track progress, and report results.
17. MS Office or similar tools for documentation and reporting.
