Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer required for a leading provider of engineering solutions.
Overview
The successful Design Engineer / Senor Design Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer will lead the design, development, and commissioning of automated systems, including PLC/SCADA, instrumentation, and control solutions. Ensure compliance with international standards and support project delivery from design to handover.
Package: £60,000-£65,000 per year depending on experience; 75 days holiday + bank holidays; Hybrid working - 3 days a week in Guildford; Pension Scheme.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design, development and commissioning of automated control systems
* Develop electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for diverse projects
* Design and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems including simulation and testing
* Prepare technical documentation and select compliant field instrumentation and safety devices
* Ensure adherence to international standards (IEC, BS, EN, ATEX, SIL) and support site commissioning and handover
Requirements
* Background in EC&I engineering, including design, controls, or commissioning
* Proven experience in industrial automation and process control systems
* Strong knowledge of instrumentation, panel design, and hazardous area equipment
* Proficient in electrical design tools (e.g. EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical)
* Familiar with industry standards and able to commute to Guildford 3 days a week
