Responsibilities
* Lead the development and provision of practice education standards within the Urgent Community Response and Home First Teams in the Unplanned Care Division.
* Provide mentorship, work‑based learning facilitation, in‑house curriculum design, teaching, and higher education teaching.
* Support the development of enhanced clinical skills across the units, ensuring access to appropriate development to maintain a competent workforce.
* Act as a clinical leader and proactively advise clinical services in delivering best practice and evidence‑based care.
* Develop clinical governance by supporting, monitoring, and implementing enhanced clinical standards and learning within clinical services.
* Work closely with the senior management team for Unplanned Care, in the UCR & Home First pathways, and maintain strong links with the corporate professional practice team.
* Provide education and support to workforce development processes, supporting initiatives and other clinical and quality improvement projects.
* Improve patient care and experience through development of standards and participation in benchmarking, audit and research.
* Support multi‑professional development and training by working collaboratively across health and social care.
* Act as a clinical and educational expert, leading clinical training, education and induction programmes.
* Identify practice areas requiring evaluation through team development planning and training needs gap analysis.
* Travel between sites in the Crawley & Horsham Areas and other UCR & Home First areas within SCFT as required.
Qualifications
* Registered nurse or AHP.
* Relevant postgraduate certificate in education (or equivalent) or commitment to undertaking a relevant course in education.
