Overview
Senior Staff Nurse - Ward 1E, Cardiology, Royal Hospital for Children – NHS Scotland. This is a full time (37 hours) permanent post, working rotational days and nights over 7 days. Ward 1E provides National Cardiology Care for children and young people across Scotland.
Organisational context: NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK with around 40,000 staff and services spanning acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care.
Responsibilities
* Provide safe, effective, person-centred nursing care within Ward 1E (Cardiology Ward for children).
* Demonstrate leadership, decision-making, and effective communication within a multidisciplinary team.
* Maintain high standards of paediatric cardiology care and contribute to ongoing professional development.
* Support ward operations, patient flow and handovers to ensure high-quality patient experience.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered Nurse / Child Branch qualification with relevant post-registration experience.
* Desirable: specialist knowledge and experience in paediatric cardiology.
* Live NMC UK pin is required to be considered for this post.
* Ability to work in a team and provide safe, effective care with leadership and interpersonal skills.
