Are you passionate about improving student attendance and supporting families in education? Were looking for dedicated professionals to join our Education Welfare Service for a 15-week temporary role.
This position offers a unique chance to make a meaningful impact on student engagement while working closely with schools and families.
As part of your role, you will:
* Collaborate with schools to boost pupil attendance.
* Manage a caseload of families who have chosen to Electively Home Educate (EHE).
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Elective Home Education (EHE): Monitor and ensure suitable education is provided by parents and carers who opt for EHE.
2. Maintain the Wakefield Education Welfare Service register for EHE pupils.
3. Liaise with EHE parents/carers in line with legislation, receiving reports of work undertaken.
4. Work alongside external partners like the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) to ensure information is aligned with safeguarding procedures.
5. Contribute to policy development and participate in assessments.
6. Use the EHE database to provide updates to the Senior Education Welfare Officer.
