Major New Village Development - Scotland
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Infrastructure Engineer to support the delivery of site-wide water and firefighting infrastructure for a major new village development in Scotland. This is an 18-month contract appointment, aligned with the infrastructure design and delivery programme.

Scope of Services
Design of combined boosted cold water and firefighting networks.
Design and sizing of potable and fire water storage tanks.
Booster pump selection and duty / standby philosophy.
Fire hydrant network layout and fire-flow compliance.
Water treatment systems including filtration and dosing.
Liaison with Scottish Water and Fire Authorities.
Hydraulic calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
Support through construction, commissioning, and adoption.
Regulatory Context
Scottish Water technical guidance.
BS EN 805 - Water supply systems.
BS 9990 - Firefighting water mains and hydrants.

CIBSE guidance and UK best practice.
Required Experience
Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
Proven experience delivering site-wide water infrastructure.
Experience with combined domestic and fire systems.
Storage tanks, pumps, and fire-flow design experience.
Authority liaison experience.
