About the Role
Spencer Clarke Group is seeking a passionate Year 2 Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Skelmersdale from September 2025. This full-time role runs for the academic year and provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children at a crucial stage in their learning journey.

Role and Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and curiosity.
Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual growth.
Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to meet diverse needs.
Collaborate with the Year 2 team, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure inclusion.
Maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment.
Contribute to school life through events, enrichment activities, and collaborative planning.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience or strong interest in teaching Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2.
Knowledge of the national curriculum and best practice for Key Stage 1.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage, inspire, and motivate learners.
Patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach.
Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain).
