Optimised Group is seeking a skilled BMS Project Engineer to join its BEMS Optimisation division in Sittingbourne, England. This full-time role offers a competitive salary and may include an electric company car or allowance, overtime pay, on-call compensation, and professional development opportunities.

The position is eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship, welcoming international applicants. The BMS Project Engineer will play a crucial role in delivering small to medium-sized projects, including upgrades, optimisation works, and planned or reactive maintenance, while contributing to the growth and impact of Optimised’s sustainable and energy-efficient solutions.


About Role

As a BMS Project Engineer, you will oversee the successful delivery of building management system projects from start to finish. This includes planning, scheduling, and coordinating work, supporting installation and commissioning on site, and leading small teams in technical execution. You will create and modify software strategies, liaise with project managers, clients, and third parties, and ensure all works meet quality, health, and safety standards.

The role also involves troubleshooting complex system issues, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring continuous improvement in operations. Candidates will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring accountability, resilience, and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

* Lead and manage small to medium-sized BMS projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
* Perform optimisation works, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and reactive maintenance on client systems.
* Oversee software strategy development and integration across Trend, Tridium, and Cylon systems.
* Supervise teams, coordinate work on-site, and support installation and commissioning.
* Maintain compliance with health and safety standards, including RAMS review and risk assessment.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering high-quality service and improvements.
* Share knowledge and mentor colleagues to support professional development and business growth.


Requirements

* Qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (HNC/ONC or equivalent).
* Substantial experience in BMS maintenance and optimisation, including Trend/IQ Vision and Tridium systems; Cylon experience desirable.
* Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to find innovative solutions.A
* UK driver’s license and eligibility to work in the UK.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
