3 months contract with a local authority Summary The Family Support Worker / Early Help Practitioner is a pivotal role within a local authority, contracted for 3 months. This position is dedicated to delivering high-quality, child-focused early help interventions to children, young people, and families. The primary aim is to provide timely, tailored support to prevent the escalation of issues to statutory services. Responsibilities Complete comprehensive whole-family assessments using the organisation’s assessment and planning framework. Develop high-quality SMART plans in collaboration with children, young people, and families. Identify strengths, needs, risks, and desired outcomes for each family. Ensure the child’s voice and best interests remain central to all planning and decision-making. Requirements Experience: Providing support to children, young people, and families with complex or emerging needs. Conducting assessments and delivering targeted family interventions. Coordinating multi-agency support and partnership working. Keeping accurate case records and working within safeguarding frameworks. Qualifications: Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Early Years, Social Care, Youth Work, Education, Health, or a related field. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
