What can you expect?
We are recruiting for a Station Manager to join our exciting team at our Colchester base and are looking for them to join us on a full time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.
This Station Manager role will involve providing consistent and professional clinical and operational leadership, that assists in maintaining effective day to day delivery of the contractual service. It will include assistance of staff management, station maintenance, meeting CQC requirements and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and commissioners.
The postholder will be responsible for making sure all resources are safe and fit for purpose and all station audits, internal and external quality requirements are consistently achieved and monitored as expected in line with CQC standards and Information Governance. A pro‑active approach and the ability to make effective decisions in a fast‑paced environment is desirable for this role.

Main responsibilities:
* Be responsible for providing strong managerial leadership and ensuring systematic performance management to facilitate the delivery of targets and priorities of all contracts.
* Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of services ensuring a focus on service improvement.
* Direct the delivery of changes following a HTG Quality Team base inspection or action plan following a CQC inspection.
* Ensure that HTG is compliant locally with the legal and statutory requirements in relation to CQC standards and Information Governance and to provide evidence of such compliance.
* Provide performance and qualitative assurance to the Contract Managers or their areas of responsibility.
* Be responsible for any resources provided by HTG-UK and the maintenance of ambulance vehicle and equipment, including the accurate recording of fuel and stores supplies.
* Ensuring that all staff are aware that the cleanliness of all designated vehicles is adhered to and routine daily checks of designated vehicles are carried out prior to deployment.
* Ensuring storage, monitoring and disposal of clinical waste as per requirements of the company policy and legislation are adhered to.
* Ensure all staff receive Training and Training records are maintained.
* You may be lifting and supporting patients in this role and therefore need to have a good level of physical fitness and have the willingness to undergo suitable training such as Manual Handling, First Aid at Work, Safeguarding, Infection Control and Driver Training.

* Strong leadership capabilities with proven management experience.
* Ability to plan, prioritise and organise effectively.
* Ability to work flexibly to meet deadlines and respond to unplanned situations.
* Computer literate and have a strong knowledge of computer systems i.e. Microsoft Office.
* Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business.
* Work in a professional manner and with integrity and maintain of records and information.
