Counter Fraud Compliance and Debt’s (CFCD) aims to reduce fraud, error, and debt within the benefit system, safeguarding public funds.

The CFCD CBRS Grade 7 (G7) leads the Directorate’s approach to ensuring compliance with Security, Data, and Information requirements. This includes managing responses to Briefings, FOIs, and other departmental requests through the Briefing Hatch function, identifying and mitigating risks, and maintaining effective controls to ensure security.

The G7 is responsible for delivering core functions such as:
* Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and mitigate CFCD Risks, aligned with the DWP Risk Management Framework, and providing narratives for the DWP Services and Fraud Risk Plan.
* Reporting risks and mitigation activities to inform decision-making at the Performance Risk and Deployment Board and executive level.
* Integrating risk awareness into daily business activities.
* Working with fraud, error, and debt policy areas and CFCD functions to respond to briefings efficiently and effectively.
* Evolving the Briefing Hatch function to meet increasing FOI and briefing requirements.
* Ensuring compliance with security and information management policies, managing associated risks, and developing improvement plans.
* Promoting Security, Data, and Information awareness to foster ongoing compliance.
* Developing and managing the CFCD Business Continuity Plan within the DWP framework.
* Coordinating business continuity planning and testing across CFCD.
* Supporting access to portals and establishing new processes as needed.
* Assisting with the DWP ID Badging Process for colleagues requiring identification for visitor access.
This role involves frequent travel and overnight stays due to the dispersed team locations.
