Were looking for a
hands-on, people-focused Team Leader
to run our
Metal Preparation Department. This is a key role in keeping production flowing smoothly and ensuring our high standards are met every step of the way.
What youll be doing
Leading a small team of 4, motivating and organising them to hit production targetsManaging material requirements and making sure everythings ordered correctly and on time
Supporting the daily production plan alongside the Production Manager
Monitoring quality, safety, and efficiency across the team
Acting as a role model and helping to drive best practice
Working closely with other team leaders to keep jobs moving through the factory
Keeping a close eye on waste and finding ways to minimise it
Ensuring all safety procedures, risk assessments, and work instructions are followed to the letter
What were looking for
Strong people leadership skills
you know how to bring out the best in a team
Excellent organisational and communication skills
A proactive, can-do attitude and the drive to hit deadlines
The ability to collaborate well with other teams and departments
Experience in areas like
metal sheet handling ,
surface treatments, or
metal processing
would be a bonus
but dont worry,
full training will be given

Shift: 38hrs over 4 days
Monday to Thursday
07:30 to 5:30
Role overview and key areas of responsibility:-
1. We are looking for someone with excellent man management skills and the drive and enthusiasm to organise and motive the team. The details of the role we can train.
2. You must have excellent organisational skills to be able to meet the production plan.
3. You will be managing material requirements for jobs and maintaining safety stocks.
4. Ensure materials are ordered correctly and on time to meet yours and other departmental process dates.
5. Supporting the Production Managers daily production plan.
6. Ensure deadlines are met and work, as required, to achieve those deadlines.
7. Acting as a role model for best practice.
8. Monitoring, controlling and minimising waste
9. Supervising the team daily ensuring they are working as required, to the statutory safety standards and to our ISO quality standard. Ensuring the procedures, risk assessments and work instructions are implemented throughout the team.
10. Excellent interpersonal management skills are essential in this role.
11. Ability to collaborate with other team leaders to help drive the orders onto the next process or pull from other teams.
12. You must be an excellent communicator to ensure you work closely with the production management team.
