Are you a hands-on, high-energy leader with experience in fast-paced logistics or retail distribution? We're Nter Talent, proudly supporting a well-known retailer in the search for an Operations Manager to oversee their busy distribution centre in Waltham Cross on a mid shift – 3pm to 12am.

The role

You’ll take the reins on one of two shifts: late shift (3pm–12am) or night shift (21:00–06:00). Working across any 5 nights from 7, you’ll lead your team to deliver smooth, efficient, and high-performing warehouse and distribution processes. You’ll be a key part of ensuring store deliveries go out on time and service levels are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and motivate a large team of operatives, supervisors, and shift leads


• Oversee goods-in, picking, packing, and dispatch functions


• Drive performance, quality, and compliance across the shift


• Work closely with senior site leadership to meet KPIs and service targets


• Ensure a safe, well-organised working environment and support continuous improvement

About you

• Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced retail, eCommerce, or logistics DC


• Strong understanding of warehouse processes and shift operations


• Natural leader with excellent people management and communication skills


• Comfortable making decisions in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment


• Flexible, solutions-focused and hands-on approach
